Why is the last visit so important?
After recruits take their summer official visits, they start flying off the board. In recruiting, timing is very important. And when it comes to orchestrating the perfect recruitment strategy, securing the last official visit stands out as the ultimate trump card. The last official visit provides a program with the golden opportunity to leave a lasting impression on a prospect. Although it holds significant weight, it's not a guaranteed commitment. Recruits may still choose to take additional unofficial visits or explore other options before making their final decision. Nevertheless, the last official visit has decided countless recruitments over the years. Here are all the recruits Oregon CURRENTLY has the last official visit for. The majority of these visitors take place June 21st.
5-Star LB/S Jonah Williams:
Williams is currently set to visit on June 21st. Oregon is one of his top schools but the ducks seem to trail Oklahoma and Texas A&M. He also has official visits scheduled to USC June 2nd, Texas A&M June 7th, and LSU June 14th.
5-Star ATH DJ Pickett:
Pickett is currently scheduled to visit on June 21st. Oregon is in his top 3 and should definitely be taken seriously in this recruitment. He also has official visits to LSU May 31st, Georgia June 7th, and Miami June 14th.
5-Star WR Dakorien Moore:
Moore is set to visit June 21st. He recently decommitted from LSU and seems to focusing on three other schools. Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas. Texas seems to have the lead but don't be fooled, Oregon is still in this and has a decent shot at pulling this off. He has other official visits set to Ohio State May 31st and Texas June 14th.
4-Star TE Da'Saahn Brame:
Brame is scheduled to take his official visit on June 21 as well, a theme we will keep seeing. Oregon is the heavy favorite to land Brame right now and I'd be shocked if he went elsewhere. He is set to commit June 29th and has other official visits lined up to Oklahoma June 7th and Tennessee June 14th.
4-Star EDGE Justin Hill:
Hill is set to visit June 21st. Oregon is in his top 4 but I think they trail Ohio State right now. He has other official visits lined up to Ohio State May 31st, USC June 7th, and Alabama June 14th.
4-Star OT Juan Gaston:
Gaston is set to visit June 21st. Oregon is a serious contender is this one but I think they trail Georgia right now. Oregon and South Carolina are not too far behind. Gaston has other official visits lined up to Georgia May 31st, South Carolina June 7th, and Texas June 14th.
4-Star TE Kaleb Edwards:
Edwards is set to visit June 21st. I think this one is wide open. Oregon wants a second TE and if Cure goes elsewhere I expect Oregon to pick up the heat on Edwards. He has other official visits scheduled to Texas June 7th, Auburn June 10th, and Alabama June 17th.
4-Star IOL Alai Kalaniuvalu:
Kalaniuvalu is set to visit on June 21st. Oregon is in this one but I think they trail Nebraska right now. He has other official visits scheduled to California May 17th, USC May 31st, and Michigan June 14th.
4-Star OT Aaron Dunn:
Dunn is set to visit on June 21st. I think Oregon has a slight lead in this one right now with Utah and USC not far behind. He has other official visits scheduled to BYU May 17th, USC May 31st, and Utah June 14th.
4-Star WR Chris Lawson:
Lawson is set to visit on June 7th. Because this visit is early in June, he could still schedule other official visits for later in June. But as of now, Oregon has the last visit. I think Oregon is in a good spot here but they are also in play for many other receivers. He has other official visits scheduled to USC May 17th and Washington May 31st.
3-Star DL Flouyd Boucard:
Boucard is set to visit June 21st. Oregon doesn't lead but the ducks are certainly not out of it. He has other official visits scheduled to Louisville May 31st, Miami June 7th, and Oklahoma June 15th.
