Who are Oregon's most important remaining targets in the 2026 class?
RECRUITING FOOTBALL

Recruiting is developing faster and faster each year, and now the majority of teams have most of their class settled after June official visits. That's about four months from now, so it's important to know who Oregon's biggest targets are in the 2026 class. Here is my top 10. All rankings are via 247Sports composite.
Note: I will not be including any players taking a mission, as they are technically not 2026 recruits. Some of these players include Ryder Lyons, Brock Harris, and Jax Tanner.
11. ATH Jett Washington- #36 NATL.
The nephew of NBA legend Kobe Bryant is a big target for the Ducks. He's a 6'5, 200-pounder from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. With his elite size, he could play linebacker or safety in college, but I believe Oregon is recruiting him as a safety. Oregon is one of his top schools, and anytime there's a 6'5 defensive back out there, you have to try to land him.
10. EDGE Derek Colman-Brusa- #236 NATL.
This one might surprise you, but with the uncertainty surrounding Zion Elee, Colman-Brusa becomes an even bigger target. He's a 6'4, 230-pounder from Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien, Washington. He might not be ranked as high as the others on this list, but I believe he's one of the staff's top targets at the position. Washington was the early favorite here, but I think Oregon has now closed the gap.
9. S Jireh Edwards- #41 NATL.
You could flip-flop Edwards and Washington on this list, and I wouldn't argue with you. Edwards is a 6'1, 184-pound safety from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, and he's one of Oregon's top targets. Oregon has really prioritized him, and because of that, they are one of his top schools.
8. CB Elbert Hill- #20 NATL.
Hill is in Ohio State's backyard, but that hasn't stopped Oregon from pushing for him. He's a 5'10, 175-pound corner from Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio. He's already visited multiple times and plans to be back during spring practices. He is one of Oregon's top CB targets, and they have positioned themselves right at the top of his recruitment alongside Ohio State.
7. LB Talanoa Ili- #55 NATL.
In my opinion, Ili is Oregon's top linebacker target. Tyler Atkinson is certainly up there as well, but Ili is on the West Coast, and I think they're prioritizing him a little more. He's a 6'3, 215-pounder from Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, California, and Oregon is setting the pace in his recruitment.
6. DB Davon Benjamin- #32 NATL
I think Benjamin is Oregon's top defensive back target this cycle. He's a 6'0, 170-pounder from Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California, and Oregon has been setting the pace in his recruitment. He mostly played safety for his high school team last season, but he also projects as a good corner. I don't know which position Oregon is recruiting him for, but either way, they've been on him for a very long time, and if he goes elsewhere, it would be a massive loss.
5. WR Chris Henry Jr- #5 NATL.
The 6'5, 205-pounder from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, is undoubtedly the fan favorite target for Oregon this cycle. You might be surprised he's not higher on this list, but the only reason is that I believe the positions ranked higher are a bigger need this cycle. The Ohio State commit has been very vocal about being locked in with the Buckeyes, but if any school can change his mind, it's Oregon. He's visited numerous times, and the Ducks are doing all they can.
4. EDGE Anthony Jones- #11 NATL.
Edge rusher will be a key position for Oregon this cycle, and I think Jones is their top target at the position. The 6'3.5, 240-pounder from St. Paul's Episcopal High School in Mobile, Alabama, holds offers from teams all over the country, but Alabama and Auburn are currently leading the way. We saw the Ducks go into Alabama last cycle and land Na'eem Offord over those schools, so they can absolutely do it again. However, out of all the players on this list, Oregon has the most work to do with Jones.
3. QB Jared Curtis- #2 NATL.
Curtis is Oregon's top target at the position, even with Jonas Williams committed. The 6'4, 225-pounder from Nashville Christian High School in Nashville, Tennessee, named Oregon his leader a few months ago, and the Ducks remain at the top along with Georgia and South Carolina. Jonas Williams could also be a key factor in this recruitment. He committed back in August, but USC has since ramped up its pursuit, creating some buzz around the Trojans. I don't think Oregon will be able to land both of them, so if Curtis commits to Oregon, Williams likely goes elsewhere. However, Williams himself is an elite player, and Oregon would love to keep him.
2. OT Immanuel Iheanacho- #3 NATL
Iheanacho is a 6'6.5, 345-pound offensive tackle from Georgetown Preparatory High School in Rockville, Maryland. Oregon is going big-game hunting at the tackle position this cycle, and he is arguably their top target. The Ducks are setting the pace in his recruitment, but it's far from over. Oregon already has 5-star Kodi Greene committed to play right tackle, but Iheanacho is a left tackle, and the two would form a dominant tackle duo in Eugene.
1. OT Jackson Cantwell- #1 NATL.
In my opinion, Cantwell is Oregon's top target in the 2026 cycle. He and Iheanacho are 1A and 1B at the position, but I have Cantwell higher simply because he's rated higher. The 6'7.5, 300-pounder from Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri, and Oregon is no worse than second in his recruitment. Georgia and Missouri are the Ducks biggest competition, but they have more than a legitimate shot at landing the No. 1 overall recruit in 2026. Pairing either Cantwell or Iheanacho with Greene would create arguably the best tackle duo in recruiting history.
