Which True Freshman are most likely to play right away for Oregon?

Oregon's 2025 recruiting class isn't finished yet, with targets McKay Madsen and Chaston Brown still in the mix. The Ducks have 19 signees, and with significant production leaving the team, there’s plenty of opportunity for true freshmen to make an immediate impact. Here are my top 5 true freshman that are most likely to play right away.

1. WR Dakorien Moore

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Oregon is losing Tez Johnson, Traeshon Holden, and potentially Evan Stewart, so there's a lot of production leaving at the position. On top of that, Moore is too good to not play. I expect him to take over Tez Johnson's role in the offense.

2. CB Na'eem Offord

There are tons of wholes to fill in the secondary, as Oregon is losing every single starting defensive back. Oregon brought in Theran Johnson from the portal, and they are loaded with young talent, but Offord was a consensus 5-star recruit and could easily get into the starting lineup.

3. CB Brandon Finney

Finney is arguably the most gifted athlete in this class with his elite speed and length. He was another 5-star Oregon landed, and with all the secondary leaving, he could find himself a role for Oregon this season.

4. S Trey McNutt

Continuing with the secondary theme, Oregon will have 6 new starters in the secondary and McNutt could find himself playing early for the ducks. Purdue transfer Dillon Thieneman will almost certainly lock down one of the safety spots, but the other spot is up for grabs. I definitely think Flowers, Woodyard, and Lopa have a better chance to start over him, but McNutt will be in contention.

5. TE Vander Ploog

This one might surprise you, but Oregon is losing Terrance Ferguson and Patrick Herbert, and Roger Saleapaga and Jamari Johnson are both coming off injuries. Johnson should be good to go, Saleapaga is unclear, but reguardless, Oregon is losing two tight ends and two others in the room have injury history. I think Ploog could find his way to the field as a true freshman if the room gets banged up.
