What's Next For Oregon Recruiting?

RECRUITING FOOTBALL

Oregon just missed out on one of their top targets in 5-Star DB DJ Pickett but Oregon's class is still looking really good and are still looking to add more.

5-Star S Trey McNutt:

McNutt commits on Friday and Oregon is poised to land the 5-Star baring another last second change. McNutt is a true safety prospect with elite ball skills.

Offensive Line Recruiting:

Michael Fasusi: Oregon is still in the top 5 for Fasusi but Oregon needs and is trying to get him back on campus before he commits on August 21st. I would be a little surprised he if he doesn't pop up on campus again before he commits.

Juan Gaston: Gaston is set to commit August 2nd and this is looking like Oregon vs Georgia. Tennessee is still lurking as well. Distance is going to play a massive factor in this one as he is from Georgia. I like Georgia to win this one but Oregon has been prioritizing him for awhile now so I know the staff can pull this off.

Aaron Dunn: If Oregon misses out on Gaston I expect them to pivot to Dunn. I've felt Oregon was in a good spot for the longest time but now I think this could go four different ways with BYU, Utah, USC, and Oregon all battling. Gaston might be higher on the staffs board, but Dunn is a damn good player himself.

A few DB notes:

Blake Woodby: I still fully expect Woodby to head elsewhere.

Na'eem Offord: Oregon has had more confidence recently with their chances with Offord. Not saying he's going to flip but they feel better about their chances. The staff is trying to get him out for SNL later this month.

Speaking of SNL...

Oregon is going to be hosting some ELITE talent later this month. The only 2025 name so far is Michael Terry with Offord potentially coming too. The 2026 names are ridiculous. There will be at least 7 5-Stars visiting as well as 12+ 4-Stars. More names will be added but it's looking like a massive weekend. View the full visitor list here.

QB Recruiting:

I know Akili has dropped in the rankings but he still has immense potential. He was never going to start as a true freshman, but once Dante leaves he will have a shot at the job. Don't worry too much about his rankings drop.

It's sounding more and more like if Oregon signs another QB it's going to be Longstreet. Now he's still locked in with the aggies, but he's the only other QB I think Oregon would sign. If A&M has a poor season, which is very likely, he could reconsider.
