The transfer portal has been open for less than a week and Oregon has already landed one of their top targets. Yesterday, Oregon landed a commitment from Purdue transfer safety Dillon Thieneman. But Oregon is far from done in the portal. Here is the latest on a number of Oregon's transfer portal targets.
TE Jamari Johnson
As you've probably seen by now, 247Sports insider Greg Biggins put a crystal ball in for Oregon to land Johnson. Oregon definitely has some early buzz with him, but the word is Oregon is still evaluating their options at tight end. If Oregon wants him, they'll be tough to beat, for now it looks like nothing is imminent.
WR/TE Duce Robinson
Oregon is not pushing for Robinson. He played exclusively WR at USC and it seems he will continue playing that position at his next destination. Oregon is likely not in the market for a WR unless Evan Stewart goes pro.
OT Alex Harkey
The Texas State transfer received an offer from Oregon a few days ago. I don't believe he's taken any visit yet, but if Oregon pushes for him they should have no problem landing him.
OT Isaiah World
The Nevada transfer did not allow a single sack this season. Oregon has been in communication with him but it's too early to tell exactly where Oregon stands.
LB Andrew Jones
The Grambling transfer racked up 122 tackles this past season. Oregon has contacted, him but it sounds like they are not pushing too hard right now. Oregon will most likely get a portal LB, but my bet is that the player they want has not entered the portal yet.
DL Bear Alexander
Bear Alexander already visited SMU and Oregon should be getting their own visit in the near future. That visit will tell us a lot more about where Oregon stands.
CB Mansoor Delane
Delane had 54 tackles, 4 INTs, and 7 pass deflections this past season with Virginia Tech. Oregon has been in heavy communication with him and a visit is expected soon.
WR Johntay Cook
Oregon has contacted Cook but it is unlikely they make a big push for him. If Oregon does go after a portal WR, expect it to be one of the best available.
