The Latest in Oregon Recruiting 9/29

RECRUITING FOOTBALL

9/30/20251 min read

Oregon is coming off a huge road win over Penn State, a victory that will almost certainly boost the Ducks on the recruiting trail. The 2026 class doesn’t have much room left, but more additions are expected. Here’s the latest:

Flip Target Locks in OV

Oregon offered 4-star 2026 LB Braylon Hodge about a week ago, and he’s already locked in an official visit to Eugene for the October 11th game against top-10 Indiana. Hodge is currently committed to Michigan State, but it’s looking like he’ll end up elsewhere, as he’s also scheduled visits to Michigan, Missouri, and Texas. Oregon will have a good shot to land him.

Commit Locks in OV

Oregon’s 4-star 2026 EDGE commit Prince Tavizon will also take his official visit for the Indiana game. Tavizon originally committed to Oregon as a 2027 recruit before reclassifying to 2026, which meant he never had the chance to take official visits. He has mentioned plans to visit other schools in the past, but for now there’s no real concern about him leaving this class.

Commitment Status'

There’s been talk about Oregon commits Immanuel Iheanacho and Anthony “Tank” Jones visiting other schools, but both are locked in and there’s little concern about them flipping. Jalen Lott also made a surprise visit to Texas for the Sam Houston State game, but he too still appears locked in with the Ducks.

Potential New QB Offer

With Oregon on a bye week, the coaches are hitting the road. Dan Lanning and Will Stein are expected to travel to Temecula, California to watch QB commit Bryson Beaver face Chaparral. That game also gives Oregon a chance to evaluate Chaparral’s QB, 4-star 2027 recruit Dane Weber, who could receive an offer if the Ducks like what they see. Weber visited Oregon for the opener against Montana State, and he could be another QB recruit to monitor going forward.

Quick Notes

  • 4-star 2027 LB Brayton Feister is hoping to visit for the USC game.

  • Oregon is still recruiting 5-star 2027 TE Ahmad Hudson, but he is not expected to visit this season. He says he plans to take an OV to Eugene though.

  • Still trying to confirm but I expect Oregon to make a push for newly offered Washington CB commit Rahsjon Duncan.
