The Latest in Oregon Recruiting 7/28

RECRUITING FOOTBALL

8/1/20251 min read

It’s been a little while since my last update because I was on vacation for the past two weeks. Now that I’m back, Oregon could be closing in on multiple commitments. Momentum is building heading into the fall, and here’s the latest on the Ducks’ top uncommitted targets along with what to expect in the coming months.

4-star DL Deuce Geralds

Geralds is set to commit on August 2nd and I still like where Oregon sits, but LSU is trying to make a late push. I'm not worried as of now, but in recruiting, things can change in an instant. (UPDATE: I still like Oregon to get this done, but LSU's push is real. This one was all but done a couple weeks ago, but LSU's push has made things worth monitoring as we get closer to commitment day.)

4-star CB Davon Benjamin

Benjamin is also committing on August 2nd, and I still like where Oregon stands for him as well. Michigan made a real push, but it sounds like it wasn't enough. There's a great shot Oregon gets two quacks on August 2nd. (UPDATE: Nothing has changed here.)

5-star EDGE Anthony "Tank" Jones

Jones is closing in on a decision and there is rising buzz that Oregon is in a good spot with him. Texas A&M and Alabama are the other teams in contention, but I'm starting to like the way it's trending for Oregon. We'll see if Oregon can go pull it off. (UPDATE: This one is all but over, I expect him to pick Oregon barring a huge surprise.)
