The Latest In Oregon Recruiting 5/1
RECRUITING FOOTBALL

Welcome to May, Ducks fans. This month is shaping up to be a pivotal one for Oregon, with key commitments looming from 5-stars Jared Curtis and Jackson Cantwell, as well as 4-star Kayden Dixon-Wyatt. A top-3 finish for this class is still within reach, but the next couple of weeks will play a major role in determining that outcome. Here's the latest on a number of Oregon targets:
5-star CB Elbert Hill
It’s sounding more and more like Hill is trending toward USC. There’s some smoke that a commitment could be coming soon, though I haven't confirmed. If he commits early, it’ll be to USC—but if things stretch to official visits, Oregon could still have a shot to rebound.
5-star CB Brandon Arrington
Heading into Arrington's recent visit, Oregon appeared to be in third place. However, with Hill now trending toward USC, the Ducks are emerging as the team to beat for Arrington. The visit went extremely well, and things are shaping up nicely for Oregon to land him. He’s set to announce his commitment on July 5th, with the Ducks scheduled to host his final official visit before that decision.
4-star WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt
Kayden Dixon-Wyatt is set to announce his commitment this Sunday, May 4th, and the race appears to be between Oregon and Ohio State. While USC is still technically in the mix, it would be a surprise to see him land with the Trojans. Oregon seems to hold a slight edge at the moment, but this one is still too close to call.
4-star EDGE Derek Colman-Brusa
I still really like where Oregon stands with Colman-Brusa. The Ducks have been trending for a while now, but he still plans to take his official visits before making a final decision.
5-star EDGE Richard Wesley
Heading into his recent visit, Oregon already appeared to have the edge in his recruitment—and coming out of it, things look even better. He’ll be releasing his official visit schedule soon, but as of now, the Ducks are clearly the team to beat.
4-star LB Kenneth Goodwin
Goodwin was another recent visitor to campus, but Oregon still appears to be trailing Georgia in his recruitment. USC has also entered the mix, but the Bulldogs remain the team to beat.
4-star LB Nick Abrams
Abrams visited two weeks ago, and that trip vaulted Oregon into his top two. Alabama is the biggest competition, but things are shaping up well for the Ducks, who are set to host his final official visit before his July 16th commitment.
5-star SAF Jett Washington
I still like where Oregon stands with Washington. Alabama is the top competition, with an official visit scheduled there for May 30th, followed by his trip to Eugene on June 13th. This one is shaping up to be a head-to-head battle down the stretch.
5-stars Jared Curtis and Jackson Cantwell
I’m pairing these two together because we likely won’t get any real clarity until the day before (if at all) each of their commitments. Curtis still feels like a true 50/50, and Cantwell could still go in any direction at this point.
