Oregon has been pretty active in the portal, but there are still some needs that need to be filled. Here's the latest I know:
DL D'Antre Robinson
The North Carolina transfer is expected to announce a commitment very soon, and as of yesterday afternoon Oregon was feeling strong here. Auburn is the other team involved and they are making a big push today. As of about an hour ago, this one has still not been decided. Robinson would be a fantastic replacement for the DL the Ducks lost to the portal, but they will have to win out first.
OT Jordan Seaton
Seaton is arguably the best overall player in the portal, and Oregon is pushing hard to get him on campus tomorrow, I’m told. Pete Thamel reported this morning that he would visit tomorrow, but LSU reporters are saying his trip to Baton Rouge is scheduled to go into Monday night. From what I heard about an hour ago, Oregon still expects him on campus tomorrow, so we’ll see what happens. Mississippi State, Miami, and LSU are the other teams involved.
Positions of Need:
The positions I’m keeping an eye on are OL, DL, and RB, and I’ve confirmed Oregon has been in communication with a pair of defensive linemen in Washington’s Dominic Macon and Mississippi State's Terrance Hibbler. As for OL, I think it’ could be Seaton or bust, and at RB, the only confirmed name so far is Weber State transfer Chauncey Sylvester, although I’m working to confirm another potential development there as well.
