Recruits to Watch for Oregon on Signing Day

Signing Day is very quickly approaching, as it takes place from December 3rd through the 5th. So far, Oregon has 19 commits with an average rating of 94.08, which is good for #1 in the nation. Overall, this class ranks fifth nationally. But Oregon is not done yet. Communication is still taking place, and numerous targets are still on the board. Here’s everyone worth monitoring and where Oregon stands with less than a week until Signing Day.

Everyone Worth Monitoring

4-star IOL Jax Tanner

Tanner committed to BYU over Oregon originally, but he ended up making it back to campus for the Wisconsin game. Despite that, all signs are pointing to him sticking with BYU.

4-star DL Deuce Geralds

Geralds committed to LSU over Oregon in what was a surprising decision. Oregon has tried to flip him a little, but it seems like a long shot he will end up in the Ducks’ class.

3-star JUCO CB Asaad Chapman

Chapman recently took his OV to Oregon, and coming out of that visit, Oregon had the momentum. Since then, he visited North Carolina and is set to visit Nebraska this weekend. I haven’t heard anything different regarding Oregon’s position, but this one is far from a done deal. He also has a brother at UTSA, so they should not be counted out either.

3-star JUCO CB Trevon Watson

Watson visited Oregon over the weekend and earned an offer to the Ducks. At this moment, I do not know exactly where Oregon stands or how hard they are pushing, but Oregon wants to add another defensive back or two, and he is a prime candidate to be that guy if Oregon misses out on Chapman or Banag.

4-star CB Rahsjon Duncan

Oregon offered the Washington commit back in September, but it’s been very quiet with Oregon since then. Oregon could be laying in the weeds here, but I have not heard anything that makes me feel confident Oregon is threat. Nevertheless, I think he’s someone who is worth monitoring at least a little bit.

3-star CB Azel Banag

Banag just wrapped up his official visit, and from what I’ve gathered, the Ducks are mainly battling Georgia Tech, with Duke and Wisconsin also involved. I don’t think a clear leader has been established quite yet, but Oregon is one of the clear front-runners along with Georgia Tech.

3-star DL Tavian Branch

Oregon offered Branch less than a week ago, and it looks like they were too late. Without ever being on campus, I have a hard time seeing the Ducks land him. Defensive line is a remaining need, and an enticing NIL offer could help, but this one seems very unlikely.

4-star DL Tomuhini Topui

Now that it’s been made public, Oregon has quietly been trying to work behind the scenes to flip Topui away from USC and back to the Ducks for the past few months. Despite this push, I don’t feel great about Oregon’s chances, but it’s not over yet.

3-star DL Viliami Moala

Moala was once committed to Oregon before eventually flipping to North Carolina. The latest I’ve heard suggests he’s more likely to stick with UNC than flip to Oregon. But out of all the defensive line flip targets, he is definitely the most likely option. Oregon has a real shot here, but if I were a betting man, I’d pick UNC.

4-star WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt

My last update on Dixon-Wyatt, I said there was not much confidence from the Oregon side that they would be able to flip him, and I have not heard differently. I definitely would not totally rule him out, but it doesn’t look like Oregon will be able to pull this off as of now.

5-star WR Chris Henry Jr.

However, with the other Ohio State WR commit, Chris Henry Jr., I’m told that there is rising confidence Oregon can actually pull this off. Oregon has never fully gone away, and it could end up paying off. As of this morning, I’d still pick him to stick with OSU, but as Signing Day inches closer, Oregon seems to be gaining momentum. We know Dan Lanning loves to pull off Signing Day surprises, and Chris Henry Jr. looks like the most likely candidate to be that this year.
