The Latest In Oregon Recruiting 11/14

RECRUITING FOOTBALL

11/14/20252 min read

Signing Day is coming up fast and runs from December 3rd to December 5th. Oregon’s class is already one of the best in the country, but there is still room to add a few more commits. We will see how the class finishes, and here is the latest.

Latest on Remaining Targets

3-star RB Lamarcus Bell

Oregon offered Bell only recently, and being late to the party may end up hurting their chances. Bell is happily committed to Utah, and the word is that he is more likely to stick with the Utes than flip to Oregon. He has already visited Oregon multiple times, but unless he returns for an official visit, I expect him to stay with Utah.

CB's Asaad Chapman and Azel Banag

Oregon recently offered both of these corners, and I’m told they would gladly take both if they can win their recruitments. Right now, I like Oregon’s chances with Chapman, but I’m not as sure about Banag yet. Chapman is on campus today, and Banag will visit on the 23rd after the USC game. We should have a clearer picture once those visits are finished.

WR's Kayden Dixon-Wyatt and Chris Henry Jr.

Oregon is still pushing for both Ohio State commits, but there is not much confidence right now in their chances of flipping either one. Dixon-Wyatt is the more realistic option, and if he makes it out for the USC game things could get interesting, but that visit has not been scheduled yet. Another variable is whether Brian Hartline takes a head coaching job elsewhere. If he does, Oregon could become a real factor.

IOL Jax Tanner

Oregon hosted 4-star IOL Jax Tanner for the Wisconsin game but the feeling is that he will stick with BYU. There is still communication happening between the two sides but BYU is having a great season and the LDS connection certainly helps.

DL Recruiting

I do not have anything too detailed here, but I’ve confirmed that Oregon is still in communication with former commit Viliami Moala. I’ve also confirmed that they are still pursuing LSU commit Deuce Geralds. Geralds came close to choosing Oregon the first time before LSU stepped in late and landed him.

Quick Notes:

  • In case you missed it, Anthony "Tank" Jones will visit Oregon for the Minnesota and USC games.

  • Nick Abrams is no longer expected to visit Oregon.

  • As of now, all Oregon commits are expected to stick with the Ducks.

  • I expect Oregon to add 2-4 more recruit for this class.
