The 2025 class isn't done yet...

RECRUITING FOOTBALL

12/5/20241 min read

Well folks, what a day to say the least. Dan Lanning and his staff did it again, another incredible signing day. Today was fun, but there's still some recruits out there Oregon is in on. But first...

Recap

The day got off to a shaky start with rumors of Dallas Wilson flipping to Florida. He shut them down by signing with Oregon. In the only bad news of the day, Linkon Cure stuck with Kansas State in what was thought to be as close to a done deal for Oregon as possible after his recent visit. Shortly after, JKS announced he would be signing with the Ducks after it seemed like Cal would lock him up. The biggest win for the Ducks was flipping Na'eem Offord away from Ohio State. He's a 5-star on every site and could play right away. The day ended with Oregon landing Tobi Haastrup, who might have the highest upside of any of Oregon's commits. There were fireworks in Eugene today; this staff always closes strong.

What's Next?

With Cure sticking with K-State, Oregon will put the full court press on Michigan TE commit Andrew Olesh. Oregon brought him on an OV last weekend for this very reason. He's ranked inside the top 50 so it's hard to imagine a better replacement for missing out on Cure. Intel wise, it's too early to tell if Oregon will land signature, but I can tell you Oregon is already gaining some traction here. He is set to sign on Friday and I will keep you updated.

Another target still on the board

Another 2025 target to keep monitoring is newly minted 4-star LB McKay Madsen. Oregon has been the favorite to land him for awhile now and that is still the case. The biggest thing with Madsen is that he isn't signing until February and plans to take a 2 year mission before he starts his college career. Because of this, he is basically a 2027 recruit.

More offers could come out

Similar to Madsen, there will be some recruits that take their recruitment all the way to February. I guarantee you if the right opportunity presents itself, Oregon will get involved. Right now there is nobody specific worth mentioning, but keep an eye out.
