RECRUITING FOOTBALL

Oregon still has some options at the tight end position, but a new name has emerged, and it's a big one. The Ducks continue to look for talent to fill the spot, and the recruitment of 4-star Andrew Olesh could be big for Oregon.

According to Rivals, Olesh will visit Oregon for their matchup against Ohio State on October 12th. Although currently committed to Michigan, Olesh is keeping his options open and has shown interest in exploring other programs. This visit will be a significant development in Oregon’s pursuit of the elite prospect.

Oregon extended an offer to Olesh in August, and now the 6'5, 215 pound recruit has included a trip to Eugene in his plans. Olesh is ranked in the top 100 of the 2025 class and boasts an impressive offer list, including Michigan, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

Flipping Olesh from Michigan remains a longshot for Oregon at this point, but recruiting is always unpredictable. His scheduled visit shows there’s at least some room for Oregon to make a pitch, especially with the atmosphere surrounding a high profile game like the one against Ohio State.

Olesh is very athletic, he runs a 4.6 forty and a 4.13 shuttle, according to Andrew Irvins. This combination of size and speed is probably why he has so many offers.

If you haven’t seen my other article, Oregon is still actively recruiting 4-star tight end Vander Ploog, who plans to visit Eugene as well, and 5-star Linkon Cure, who hasn’t ruled out a return visit to the Ducks. Oregon’s search for top talent at tight end is heating up, and Andrew Olesh is just another addition to the mix.
