The transfer portal opened today, and Oregon is already making moves. With Oregon's undefeated season and ability to develop talent, the ducks are expected to be one of the hottest destinations for top transfers this offseason. According to reports, the Ducks are preparing to host a USC transfer in the future.

The player in question is none other than defensive lineman Bear Alexander. During a 247Sports YouTube stream, Mike Roach reported that Alexander is expected to visit Oregon. While no specific date was mentioned, it is anticipated that the visit will occur sometime this month or next.

This development might surprise some, but there’s no denying Alexander has elite talent. He was a highly sought after recruit out of high school, he initially signed with Georgia before transferring to USC after just one season. Now, after a some time with the Trojans, Alexander has decided to test the waters in the transfer portal once again.

Mike Roach also reported that Alexander scheduled a visit with Penn State, and that SMU wants to get him on campus. Additionally, he has expressed interest in Texas, Colorado, and even a potential return to Georgia.

Bear Alexander is ranked as a 4-star transfer with a 92 grade in the 247Sports transfer portal rankings. However, questions about his work ethic have followed him throughout his career. Oregon is unlikely to take a chance on him unless the coaching staff is confident he will contribute and put in the effort required. Regardless, his potential visit to Oregon is something worth monitoring.
