The names keep piling up for Oregon's highly anticipated Junior Day event. Among the confirmed visitors are 4-star linebacker Talanoa Ili, 4-star tight end Israel Briggs, and 4-star safety Chace Calicut. Additionally, 5-star athlete Brandon Arrington announced on social media that he’ll be in attendance. But now, according to reports, another elite 5-star recruit is planning to visit as well.

5-star safety Blaine Bradford will be heading to Eugene for Junior Day, according to Rivals' Adam Gorney. Bradford, a 6'1, 200-pound standout from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is widely regarded as one of the top players in the 2026 recruiting class. This won't be his first trip to Oregon though, as he previously visited in July.

Bradford has already named a top five that includes LSU, Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Oregon. While the Ducks haven’t been a major favorite in his recruitment so far, all it takes to gain some momentum is one visit. LSU dominates recruiting in Louisiana, so it's probably safe to assume that the tigers are Oregon's biggest competition in this recruitment.

According to his 247Sports scouting report, Bradford is a versatile defensive back who can play any position in the secondary. He could also transition to linebacker at the college level. In addition to football, he also plays baseball and runs track. An additional challenge that Oregon has to overcome in this recruitment is that Bradford's older brother signed with LSU last year as a 4-star safety.

Bradford's highest ranking is #7 nationally by On3. He also ranks #9 nationally by Rivals, and #54 by 247Sports. As I already said, Oregon isn't a favorite to land him at the moment, but all it takes to change that is one visit. Oregon will have that chance to swing things in their favor with this visit.
