In a big win for the Oregon Ducks, elite 2026 4-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene has committed to Oregon. Greene picked the Ducks over programs like Michigan, USC, and Washington. People who’ve been following his recruitment weren’t surprised, though, because Oregon’s been leading in his recruitment for a long time now.

Kodi Greene is a massive guy, standing at 6'6" and weighing 285 pounds. His size and skills have earned him the #39 overall recruit spot according to 247Sports composite rankings. Even though he’s originally from Washington, he transferred to the powerhouse Mater Dei, which he hopes will develop his game even more.

Oregon’s coaches have been really focused on getting Greene to commit. They’ve been working hard to build a good relationship with him and his family, and it’s clear their hard work has paid off. Greene felt confident enough to finally pull the trigger and commit to the Ducks.

For the Ducks, getting someone like Greene is a huge boost for their future offensive line. His size and skill set will be a big help for the team as they plan for future seasons. Having a player like Greene will give their quarterback and running backs the support and protection they need to succeed.

Recently, Oregon has been recruiting the state of Washington really well. While now at Mater Dei in California, Greene’s roots trace back to Washington, and the Ducks ability to pull him in shows their knack for attracting elite talent from the region. This isn’t a one-time occurrence; in the 2025 class, they have 3-Star IOL Demetri Manning. Before that, they landed 4-star LB Brayden Platt and 4-star OT Fox Crader in 2024, 4-star RB Jayden Limar in 2023, and 5-star OT Josh Conerly in 2022. Oregon’s focus on Washington recruits is clearly paying dividends, reinforcing their presence in the Pacific Northwest and continuing a pipeline that strengthens their roster year after year.
