RECRUITING FOOTBALL

We're getting closer and closer to Oregon's Junior Day, and the list of visitors keeps growing. The Polynesian Bowl was played yesterday, showcasing some of the nation's top talent, and one of the MVPs from the game has confirmed he will attend Oregon’s Junior Day on January 25th.
2026 4-star defensive lineman Duece Geralds tells me he will be making the trip to Eugene for Junior Day on January 25th. Geralds is a 6'3, 270 pound defensive tackle from Collins High School in Georgia. This will be his first ever visit to Oregon.
Oregon’s 2026 defensive line recruiting class is already shaping up as the best in the country. The Ducks have commitments from 4-star prospects Tony Cumberland, Tomuhini Topui, and Bott Mulitalo, along with 3-star Viliami Moala. Despite this impressive haul, Oregon could still add even more talent to the position. Oregon only signed one defensive lineman in 2025, Matthew Johnson, but he might end up being an edge rusher, so in reality, Oregon may have signed zero true defensive tackles. That was Oregon's plan, though, after they brought in an elite defensive line haul in 2024. Regardless, Geralds could be a recruit worth making room for, no matter the numbers.
Geralds already holds at least 38 offers from powerhouse programs like Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, and Auburn. Pulling a top recruit out of SEC territory is always a challenge, but Oregon proved they could do it last year by landing Na’eem Offord, the No. 1 player from Alabama. This visit is a big opportunity for Oregon to make a strong impression.
After earning MVP honors in the Polynesian Bowl, Geralds is likely going to climb in the rankings. Currently, his highest ranking is No. 20 nationally by Rivals, while 247Sports places him at No. 143 and On3 ranks him No. 218. Getting him on campus is a big first step for Oregon, this visit could lead to more in the future.
