Oregon Signing Day Intel (Live Updates)

RECRUITING FOOTBALL

Signing Day is just hours away, and all of Oregon's commits seem locked in heading into tomorrow. Signing Day typically comes with a lot of back-and-forth recruitments, and some players don’t know what they want to do until the final minutes. So it could be a bumpy ride. With that, here is the latest on what I know about Oregon’s remaining targets.

3-star DL Viliami Moala

My last update on Moala was that he was more likely to stick with UNC than flip to Oregon. I haven’t gotten a different update on him, but he posted an Instagram story earlier today, and it looks like he’s totally locked in with UNC. Barring a signing day shocker, it does not look like Oregon will add another defensive lineman.

3-star JUCO CB Asaad Chapman

Oregon has lost some confidence with Chapman since my last update. As far as I know, Oregon is still 100% in it, but North Carolina is the team with the momentum. UTSA is also a serious player in this recruitment, but as of now I’d pick him to end up at UNC. UPDATE: Still don't think it's Oregon

3-star JUCO CB Trevon Watson

It was very hard to get an update on Watson, but from what I know, he is a take for the staff, and North Texas and Boise State are Oregon's main competition. You have to like Oregon's chances against those two if they really want his commitment, but it could also depend on what happens with Chapman or Banag.

3-star CB Azel Banag

It is my understanding that Banag is Oregon's top remaining DB target. Oregon's main competition is Georgia Tech, but I'm starting to like Oregon's position more here. We'll see if they can close, but I would pick Oregon here as of now. UPDATE: This one looks good

4-star WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt

Dixon-Wyatt has been predicted to flip to USC by Rivals, and to my knowledge, there actually has been some communication between him and Oregon in the final days. I don't expect Oregon to get him, but anything is possible.

5-star WR Chris Henry Jr.

UPDATE X4: Not a whole lot has changed. I don’t believe he has told anyone where he is going yet, but confidence remains high for Oregon. Final pitches are being made, and he will announce sometime tomorrow, most likely on the Pat McAfee Show. UPDATE X5: Oregon isn’t as confident this morning. They don’t know for sure where he’ll sign, but they still think they have a shot. It sounds like OSU made a move overnight.

Jalen Lott:

Lott is the only Oregon commit who has unexpectedly not signed yet. Kendre and Devin are signing tomorrow, and there’s nothing to worry about with them. As for Lott, as far as I know, things are still good. I haven’t heard anything about Oregon feeling concerned about him signing. I expect him to be announced later today, but if he isn’t, then I’d start to get concerned. UPDATE X2: As of this morning, I’m told things are still good and it’s a when, not if, he signs. I also checked in on whether CHJ had any role in the delay and was told no. This makes sense considering they are two very different types of receivers.
