Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada has been very kind to Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class. The Ducks have already secured commitments from 4-star offensive linemen Alai Kalanimuva and Douglas Utu. Now, another talented Bishop Gorman teammate is set to visit Eugene in the near future.

Elite 2026 athlete Jett Washington has confirmed that he will be in Eugene when the Ducks face off against Ohio State. The visitor list for that weekend is already stacked with high-profile recruits, and adding Washington to the mix is another significant addition for Oregon’s recruiting efforts.

Washington is a multi-sport athlete, excelling in both basketball and football. Listed at 6'5, 200 pounds, he has elite size that makes him stand out on the field. Additionally, he’s actually the nephew of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

Although his primary position is safety, Washington also sees time as a wide receiver. Oregon signed a similarly sized safety in 6'4 Kingston Lopa last season, so if they're able to land Washington, they would have elite size at the position for years to come. Washington has already garnered offers from powerhouse programs like Alabama, Ohio State, Texas, and Tennessee, so landing him won't be easy.

He is ranked as a 4-star recruit and #67 nationally according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. National recruiting expert Greg Biggins even says that Washington could eventually transition to linebacker or edge due to his size and versatility. Regardless of where he lines up, Washington has immense potential to be an elite player at the next level.
