Oregon is surging for numerous recruits after victory over Ohio State

RECRUITING FOOTBALL

Oregon just beat Ohio State in what could be the game of the year and because of it the ducks already landed two commitments and are trending with multiple other recruits. When December comes around, we will look back on this weekend as a major reason for our recruiting success.

4-star LB Kaleb Burns (2025)

Let's start with the ones most of you have probably heard by now. Coming into this visit I said Oregon was the team in best position to flip Burns from Baylor. Coming out of the visit there is only more buzz around the ducks. The only bad news here is that Burns is expected to visit Oklahoma this weekend. Even with this visit to the sooners, I ultimately expect Burns to flip to Oregon.

3-star LB McKay Madsen (2025)

Coming into this visit I probably would have told you BYU was in the best position to land Madsen. However, now Oregon has taken over this recruitment. He still plans to take more visits, but right now Oregon is the clear frontrunner.

4-star LB Tristian Phillips (2026)

Coming into this visit Oregon was already one of his top schools, but coming out of it Oregon seems to be at the very top.

4-star TE Vander Ploog (2025)

The Washington commit made a surprise visit to Oregon this weekend. We knew it would happen eventually, but the staff did a good job keeping it under the radar. Coming out of the visit Oregon certainly helped themselves in his recruitment but I get the feeling the staff wants to wait and see what happens with Linkon Cure before they make a final push for Ploog.

4-star OT Zac Stascausky (2025)

Zac was the other Washington commit on campus. He's an Oregon native but I get the vibe he will be harder to flip than Ploog. I don't think Oregon is pushing as hard here. But if they decide to turn up the heat, watch out.

5-star DL Jahkeem Stewart (2025)

Coming into this visit, Oregon was probably sitting at 4th, coming out of it Oregon has cemented themselves into his top 2-3. There is still a long way to go before he makes a decision and he still has visits set to USC, Ohio State, and LSU. Oregon has a better chance at landing him then they did before this visit, but I still get the sense this will be a tough pull.

4-star OL Esun Tafa (2026)

Oregon and Utah are the main two schools battling for Tafa but after this visit Oregon is the team surging. The ducks haven't had much success recruiting offensive lineman in Utah but Oregon has a chance to change that with Tafa.

4-star EDGE Shaun Scott (2026)

Oregon has been setting the pace in Scott's recruitment for awhile now and this visit only helps Oregon's chances. The Mater Dei pipeline keeps growing and Scott could easily be the next addition.

5-star CB Na'eem Offord (2025)

Coming into this visit Oregon was trailing Ohio State and Auburn but coming out of it, it sounds like the ducks made a major move and may even be the team to beat. He is set to visit Ohio State this weekend but the ducks made a splash on this visit and put themselves in great position moving forward.
