As early signing day approaches, Oregon fans can expect to see more of their top targets come off the board in the near future. While many of these recruits are from the 2025 class, some key 2026 prospects have commitment dates already set. One of those recruits will be back in Eugene soon.
2026 4-star linebacker Tristian Phillips tells me he will return to Oregon on November 30th for the Ducks matchup against rival Washington. He's from Ventura, California, and is listed at 6'3, 215 pounds. He has a commitment date set for December 7th at 4:30 PT, live on the 247Sports YouTube channel. This will be one duck fans will want to watch closely.
He ranks as 4-stars and #205 overall in the Top247 and #352 in the composite rankings. Phillips is a versatile player who can play both an inside and outside linebacker. According to MaxPreps, he racked up 80 total tackles with 9 tackles for loss in 11 games this season.
Phillips previously visited Oregon for the Ohio State game in October, and his trip left a lot of positive buzz around the Ducks. Recently, 247Sports' Brandon Huffman even logged a crystal ball prediction in favor of Oregon. Phillips’ top six schools include Arizona State, Utah, Washington, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Oregon. However, Oregon currently seems to hold the advantage in his recruitment.
Oregon will get the final visit before Phillips announces his decision, but he is also expected to take a visit to Oklahoma this weekend. This recruitment is shaping up well for the ducks, but this recruitment is not over yet with that visit to Oklahoma still on the board.
