Dana Altman and company prioritized the transfer portal heavily this season but now it looks like they are turning their attention of one of the best local basketball recruits.
Oregon's basketball program is gaining momentum in the recruitment of Winters Grady, a small forward originally from Lake Oswego, Oregon. Grady, who transferred to Prolific Prep in Napa, California, is 6'7 and weighs 200 pounds. He is a consensus 4-star recruit and one of Oregon's top targets.
Grady just wrapped up a visit to Oregon, and all signs point to a positive outcome for the Ducks. His recruitment most likely won't end for at least a couple months though. He has scheduled official visits to New Mexico August 22, Michigan August 29, lowa September 7, Colorado September 11, Oklahoma September 21, and Oregon October 12. Heading into these visits, Oregon is the team to beat.

Grady is full of realistic upside and has already shown more than just glimpses of a highly-valuable skill set: he’s able to stretch the defense with his ability to knock down jumpers from NBA three-point range; Grady also has a strong athletic build that helps him drive to the rim with vengeance, as well as punish weaker opponents in the paint; Grady plays with pace, and can beat the opposition with his elite footwork and functional athleticism. As he continues to evolve into a true three-level scorer, his recruitment is bound to increase substantially as more programs begin to take notice.
