Oregon’s 2026 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the best in the nation. The Ducks currently hold the No. 2 overall ranking in the 247Sports team rankings and boast the highest average rating per commit at 94.2. While there is still plenty of time before the 2026 class is finalized, keeping top commits engaged is crucial. Now, one of Oregon’s premier commits has confirmed his official visit to Eugene.
Five-star 2026 tight end Kendre Harrison has locked in his official visit to Oregon for June 21st, he tells me. The 6'7, 243-pound athlete from Reidsville High School in North Carolina committed to the Ducks in late November, choosing Oregon over Tennessee, North Carolina, Miami, Penn State, and Florida State. Harrison’s size and athleticism make him one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the country, and getting him back on campus is a major win for Oregon’s staff.
Harrison appears fully committed to the Ducks, but a recent coaching change at his hometown school has sparked some speculation. After his commitment, North Carolina made headlines by hiring NFL legend Bill Belichick as their head coach. Despite this development, Harrison reaffirmed his commitment to Oregon on his X account, and from what I've heard, Harrison is locked in. While he may take a visit or two to North Carolina, there is little reason for Duck fans to panic.
In addition to football, Harrison is also a highly rated basketball prospect. As a power forward, he is ranked inside the top 40 nationally by both ESPN and Rivals, making him a rare two-sport athlete at the soon-to-be collegiate level. He is currently Oregon’s first basketball commit in the 2026 class, adding another layer of excitement to his arrival in Eugene.
Football remains Harrison’s primary focus, and he is widely regarded as one of the top overall prospects in the country. His highest ranking comes from ESPN, which has him at No. 8 nationally, followed by On3 at No. 16, Rivals at No. 19, and 247Sports at No. 35. Oregon will try to add another tight end to this class, but securing the No. 1 player at the position gives the Ducks a strong foundation to build an elite duo for 2026.
