At one point, it looked like Oregon’s 2026 defensive line class could have been finalized early. But then, 4-star Bott Mulitalo decided he wanted to play offensive tackle instead, leading to his decommitment as he weighs his options. Meanwhile, 4-star Tomuhini Topui remains committed to Oregon, but USC is making a serious push to flip him. Topui is back on campus today, but the Ducks know he isn’t a lock to sign. Because of that, Oregon is still pursuing other top defensive linemen—and one of the best in the country has now locked in his first visit to Eugene.
Elite 2026 defensive lineman Deuce Geralds was originally supposed to visit Oregon for Junior Day in January, but that trip ended up getting canceled. Now, Geralds tells me he will be in Eugene for either April 19th or April 22nd. This will be his first time visiting the Ducks, and with some uncertainty surrounding their defensive line class, he could become a major priority for Oregon’s coaching staff.
Geralds is a 6-foot-3, 270-pound standout from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. He made national headlines at the Polynesian Bowl, where he dominated with three sacks and took home MVP honors—alongside Oregon true freshman Dakorien Moore. His performance solidified his status as one of the most disruptive linemen in the 2026 class.
Geralds already holds at least 38 offers from powerhouse programs such as Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, and Auburn. Pulling a top recruit out of SEC territory is never easy, but Oregon proved it can be done after signing Na’eem Offord, the No. 1 player from Alabama, in the 2025 class. Geralds’ visit presents a prime opportunity for Oregon to establish itself as a legitimate contender in his recruitment. In addition to Oregon, FSU is scheduled for March 22, Michigan on March 29, Ohio State on April 1, FSU again on April 8, and Oklahoma from April 4 to April 5.
If rankings were finalized at this point, Geralds would almost certainly be a 5-star prospect. His highest ranking currently comes from Rivals, which has him at No. 26 nationally, while he also sits at No. 38 on ESPN, No. 139 on On3, and No. 160 on 247Sports. He is the No. 2 ranked defensive lineman and the No. 2 player in Georgia for the 2026 class. Landing him would be a massive win for Oregon as they look to build an elite defensive line for the future.
