Mock Class 3.0: Predicting Oregon's Recruiting Class
RECRUITING FOOTBALL
7/2/20253 min read
Oregon is poised for a big recruiting run soon, and it may have already started with Bryson Beaver and Koloi Keli committing just recently. So far, the Ducks have 11 commits, including two 5-stars. With official visit season now wrapped up, here’s my projection for how Oregon’s class will finish:
Quarterbacks
4-star Bryson Beaver
Reasoning: Quarterback recruiting didn’t go as planned, with the Ducks missing out on 5-stars Jared Curtis and Ryder Lyons. But even with those misses, Oregon rebounded as well as possible by landing 4-star Bryson Beaver, who’s expected to skyrocket in the next rankings update. At this point, I highly doubt Oregon takes a second quarterback in this class.
Running Backs
4-star Tradarian Ball
Reasoning: Tradarian Ball is fully locked in, but there’s actually another target at the position — 4-star Terry (TJ) Hodges. He was originally scheduled to visit the last weekend of June but told me it’s been rescheduled for a later date. He’s not very active on social media and doesn’t talk much, but if Oregon adds another running back, it’ll be Hodges.
Wide Receiver
4-star Messiah Hampton and 4-star Jalen Lott
Reasoning: Hampton is already committed and appears locked in. As for Lott, Oregon is trending again just a week before his commitment. The Ducks will need to hold off USC, but things are looking good. It's also important to remember that former 5-star speedster Gatlin Bair will join the team the same time as these 2026 recruits, essentially making him a 2026 recruit.
Tight End
5-star Kendre Harrison
Reasoning: Kendre Harrison is fully locked in and will sign in December. I wouldn’t be surprised if the staff tries to add another tight end for depth, but it’s not a necessity. We’ll see if they do, but regardless, Oregon landed its top target at the position.
Offensive Line
Tackles: 5-star Immanuel Iheanacho and 4-star Kelvin Obot
Interior: 4-star Tommy Tofi and 3-star Koloi Keli
Reasoning: Iheanacho and Tofi both feel like when, not if at this point. Koloi just committed, and Oregon’s in a good spot with Obot. There are a few other targets out there, like Jax Tanner and Dominic Harris, but I think both ultimately land elsewhere. If Oregon misses on Obot, I’d expect them to push harder for Harris. Tanner would be a take regardless since he’s taking a mission trip, but it doesn’t seem likely he’ll end up a Duck.
Defensive Tackle
4-stars Tony Cumberland, Vilimai Moala, and Deuce Geralds
Reasoning: Cumberland and Moala are both locked in. Oregon is trending up heavily with Geralds. I’m still not ready to call them the leader, but their chances look a lot better than before, and they’re in a good spot to pull it off. There’s also a 2027 defensive lineman considering reclassifying. I can’t say who, but they’d be a take regardless of what happens with Geralds.
Edge Rusher
5-stars Anthony Jones and Richard Wesley, and 4-star Dutch Horisk
Reasoning: Assuming Oregon lands its remaining offensive line targets, edge rusher is probably the most important remaining need. The Ducks are far more than a dark horse for Jones, and Horisk is already committed. As for Wesley, there’s still ongoing dialogue, Oregon’s continuing to recruit him. His commitment to Texas came out of nowhere and even caught the Oregon staff off guard. The Ducks will stay in this, and while flipping him won’t be easy, I think they have a shot.
Linebacker
4-star Tristan Phillips and Nick Abrams
Reasoning: Phillips is locked in, and Oregon is looking solid for Abrams, solid enough for me to call the Ducks the leader. There’s also 5-star Tyler Atkinson, and while he still seems to be leaning toward Georgia, Oregon remains in the mix and would obviously take him regardless of what happens with the others. I think Oregon lands one of the two between Abrams and Atkinson, but not both.
Cornerback
4-star Davon Benjamin
Reasoning: Oregon has missed on all of its cornerback targets so far, which makes Benjamin a must-get. I still like Oregon’s position to land him, but Texas, Michigan, and Washington are all still in the fight. I also think Oregon will sign two corners, though I’m not sure who the second one would be at this point. The 2025 corner class was insanely good, so the 2026 class doesn’t need to be as strong, but it’s always nice to build depth.
Safety
5-star Jett Washington, 4-stars Xavier Lherisse and Devin Jackson
Reasoning: Jett Washington recently committed, and Lherisse is locked in. Then there’s Jackson, who is committing in two days. At this point, I’d be shocked if he isn’t a Duck. Oregon is looking very strong, with an extremely high chance the Ducks sign two defensive backs from the Sunshine State.
