RECRUITING FOOTBALL

Even though Oregon's season is over, they are still getting to work on the recruiting/ transfer portal trail. Here's the latest on a number of Oregon's targets.

4-star 2025 LB McKay Madsen

Madsen is set to take a mission before he joins the team of his choice, but Oregon continues to be in great shape here with his commitment set for January 11th.

RB Mahki Hughes

The Tulane transfer just visited Oregon over the weekend and this one looks all but locked up. He could commit as soon as today.

WR Malik Benson

The FSU transfer was predicted to Oregon earlier today by On3's Pete Nakos, so it looks like the ducks are the favorite. I know a lot of fans are questioning this, but they wouldn't bring him in if he didn't add any value.

OG Emmanuel Pregnon

Oregon was in on Pregnon the first time he entered the portal, but USC won out. He's now back in the portal and Oregon is showing heavy interest again. With Harper and Strother gone, Oregon could use another guard.

As I was writing this, Jordan James and Derrick Harmon both declared for the draft. Hughes will likely take James spot, and Oregon already landed Bear Alexander to help replace Harmon. We are still awaiting the decisions of Evan Stewart, Josh Conerly, Noah Whittington, and Gary Bryant Jr. We are also waiting to see if Jamaree Caldwell, Bryce Boettcher, or Kobe Savage get granted another year of eligibility. Oregon still has some holes to fill in the portal, but a lot of it depends on everything mentioned above.
