Oregon hosted its final official visit weekend and, although it was smaller than expected, it was still a very important one. Here’s the latest on the weekend’s visitors as well as Ryder Lyons:

4-star QB Bryson Beaver

Oregon hosted Beaver over the weekend, and the Ducks are still looking like the front-runner. However, a commitment isn’t expected just yet. LSU offered yesterday, and Ole Miss is still in the mix, but Oregon should still be viewed as the team to beat.

4-star WR Jalen Lott

Oregon, Texas, and USC are Lott's top three, but I was told Texas is fading, and it’s becoming an Oregon vs. USC battle. His sister is at USC, and the Trojans are aggressively trying to land either Lott or Boobie Feaster. He’s committing July 8th, and this one could come down to the wire.

4-star QB Matt Ponatoski

It’s an Oregon vs. Kentucky battle for the dual-sport star. Ponatoski is expected to announce his commitment sooner than Beaver, so if he commits to the Ducks, what does that mean for Oregon and Beaver? I don’t know at this time, but taking two quarterbacks is definitely a possibility. As of now, I give a very slight edge to Kentucky, but this one hasn’t been decided yet.

4-star LB Nick Abrams

This is about as close as it gets. All four teams — Oregon, Georgia, Michigan, and Alabama — are still in it, but from what I can gather, Oregon and Alabama are in the best spot heading into his July 16th commitment date. With Oregon seemingly moving on from Kenneth Goodwin, the Ducks’ only other linebacker targets are Abrams, 3-star Beau Jandreau, and 5-star Tyler Atkinson. Of those three, I think Abrams is the most likely.

5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho

Oregon is still in a fantastic position to land Iheanacho, and don’t be surprised to see a commitment in the near future. He was originally set to commit in August, but the feeling is he’ll pop sooner than that. Oregon is clearly the No. 1 team in this recruitment.

5-star QB Ryder Lyons

It’s not looking great for Oregon and Lyons. BYU’s NIL offer could be too good to pass up. We saw them throw the bank at 5-star basketball prospect AJ Dybansta, and it appears they’re offering a similar deal to Lyons, one Oregon obviously won’t match. I like BYU to get this done, barring a surprise.
