Elite 4-star LB Talanoa Ili names Oregon his leader

The reactions are still coming in from Oregon's Junior Day event. I already had the opportunity to talk with Brandon Arrington, George Toia, and Jax Tanner, but now it's 4-star LB Talanoa Ili's turn. And he had high praise for his visit.

Question: How did your recent visit go?

"I had a really good time. The visit was great!"

Question: Which coaches did you spend the most time with, and what was their message?

"I spent the most time with Coach Kam (Araghi). Our relationship has grown tremendously over the years so he was continuously harping on the importance I am to them. I also spent a lot of time with DC Coach Tosh. Same deal like coach Kam, just letting me know the priority I am."

Question: What other schools are recruiting you hard, and do you have any other visits in mind?

"Notre Dame, Washington, Oklahoma, Texas and UCLA, are some schools that have been recruiting me hard. I’ll be at UCLA this Thursday and I will be at USC on the weekend."

Question: What are your thoughts on Dan Lanning specifically, how was it meeting with him?

"I think Dan Lanning is doing a good job in Eugene. The team itself has only improved every year under him. They are trending in the right direction."

Where does Oregon stand in your recruitment after this visit?

"After this visit, they are currently the highest on my list."
