Oregon's 2025 defensive back haul was elite to say the least. It featured two 5-stars and two 4-stars ranked inside the top 65, and 2026 has a chance to be just as good. One 2026 defensive back target who has kind of gone under the radar has Oregon among his top schools and has two future visits in mind.

Xavier Lherisse is a 5'10, 185-pound safety from Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Florida. Lherisse is someone that people, including me, haven’t been talking enough about. He visited Oregon for the first time in October, and now it looks like he has multiple other visits to Eugene on his mind. He's from Florida, so it's saying a lot that he's making the trip all the way out to Oregon.

He doesn’t have any dates set right now, but he tells me he plans to get up to Oregon "soon," likely in the spring, and then he also plans to take an official visit to the Ducks. Oregon had three coaches visit him in late January: Head Coach Dan Lanning, Defensive Coordinator Tosh Lupoi, and safeties coach Chris Hampton. Lherisse looks like someone Duck fans need to be paying more attention to when commitment season comes in July.

Lherisse has an incredible offer list, as he has at least 50 offers already. He has offers from almost every powerhouse college, from schools such as Clemson, Alabama, FSU, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Penn State. If Oregon is able to win out for Lherisse, it would be over numerous other national programs.

Xavier Lherisse is a 4-star recruit and is ranked #362 nationally by the 247Sports composite rankings, but his highest ranking is by Rivals, where he checks in at #249 nationally. ESPN ranks him #280 nationally, while 247Sports and On3 both rank him as a high 3-star. Regardless, Lherisse is someone we should keep more of an eye on going forward.
