One of the top West Coast offensive line recruits will be back in Eugene soon, adding to the buzz surrounding Oregon’s upcoming recruiting weekend. The Ducks are set to host several high-profile prospects, and this offensive lineman’s presence could help solidify Oregon’s future in the trenches.

Esun Tafa, a 2026 interior offensive lineman from Draper, Utah, has confirmed that he’ll make it up to Eugene when the Ducks face off against Ohio State. This highly anticipated game has already attracted a stellar list of recruits, and Tafa’s visit adds to how important this weekend will be for Oregon.

Tafa is listed at 6'4, 285 pounds and is regarded as one of Oregon’s top 2026 targets. His size and skillset have caught the attention of multiple other top programs, as schools like Michigan State, Utah, and Arizona have also offered him.

Oregon finds themselves in a favorable position early in Tafa's recruitment, but when it comes to offensive linemen from Utah, the Utes are always a team to watch. The Ducks have struggled against Utah for in-state O-line prospects, going 0-3 in their attempts to land Spencer Fano in 2023, Isaiah Garcia in 2024, and Aaron Dunn in 2025. Duck fans hope this trend ends with Tafa, but they’ll need to overcome Utah’s strong pull in the state.

Tafa plays for the highly talented Corner Canyon team, which already boasts blue-chip quarterback Helaman Casuga and 5-star wide receiver Jerome Myles. Corner Canyon recently made headlines by upsetting #3 ranked IMG Academy.

Esun Tafa is a name to remember in the 2026 class. As a composite 4-star recruit and the #268 overall player, he’s a player Oregon would love to add to their already impressive 2026 class.
