4-Star LB Nick Abrams locks in first Oregon visit

Oregon's 2025 linebacker recruiting journey was anything but predictable. After missing out on 4-star Noah Mikhail, the Ducks looked poised to flip 4-star Elijah Melendez or 4-star Kaleb Burns. However, both prospects ultimately stayed loyal to their original schools. But Oregon’s persistence eventually paid off when they flipped 4-star Gavin Nix from Miami. Looking ahead to the 2026 class, things are already looking smoother, with 4-star Tristian Phillips already in the fold. The Ducks will aim to add one or two more linebackers this cycle, and another blue-chip target has recently emerged.
That target is 4-star linebacker Nick Abrams. The 6'2, 210-pound prospect from McDonogh High School in Owings Mills, Maryland, has locked in a visit to Oregon for April 19th. This will be his first time seeing the Ducks' program up close. Abrams plays at the same school as Oregon freshman corner Brandon Finney, which could help the Ducks in his recruitment.
Abrams holds 30 offers from numerous top programs. His top 15 includes schools like Alabama, Georgia, Penn State, Oklahoma, USC, Texas A&M, and Oregon. Landing him won’t be easy, but getting him on campus is a great first step. Oregon’s goal with this visit is to secure an official visit in June. If they can make that happen, they’ll have a real shot at landing him.
Maryland has become an important recruiting area for Oregon, and Abrams is part of that trend. The Ducks are also heavily pursuing 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho, 4-star CB Khary Adams, and 4-star SAF Jireh Edwards. Oregon has landed the No. 1 ranked player in Maryland two years in a row, and they have a good chance to do it again in 2026. With so much talent in the state this year, Maryland will be a key recruiting area for the Ducks.
Abrams’ stock continues to rise. Rivals ranks him highest at No. 217 nationally, while 247Sports has him at No. 247, On3 at No. 287, and ESPN lists him as a 3-star. His recruitment is heating up, and Oregon fans should keep an eye on him as he takes his first visit to Eugene this spring.
